What happens during my first appointment?

In order to provide you with best care, we ask you to please provide us with the following:

• Referral Slip and X-Rays from your dentist.
• List of Medications you are currently taking (forms available on website).
• If you have dental insurance, please bring your insurance information/cards to the appointment.

Your initial exam will entail a thorough medical and dental history, oral examination, review of x-rays, and review of your chief concern. It usually lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour depending on the complexity. We might recommend additional dental X-rays or small area 3 dimensional CT X-rays for the jaw bone if necessary. After a thorough exam, we will discuss the treatment plan with you and your dentist prior to scheduling treatment.

Our goal is to address all of your questions, concerns and desires during your appointments. After the treatment plan is reviewed between you and the periodontist, our front desk will review with you the costs, insurance benefits and scheduling.
